about

ATOMGA marries traditional afrobeat with Calypso-styled vocals in their latest track “Lucidity.” Think Fela Kuti meets Celia Cruz. The energetic groove lends itself to a hip-hop swagger laced with finger-bending bebop-styled horn lines. Lyrically, the song challenges listeners to look inside themselves and unfurl the epiphany that they hold their own remedies and the ability to look within for answers. A “shout chorus” furthers the emotional roller coaster to assimilate a gigantic jazz big band sound with punchy Latin stylings before simmering into a spacey Rhodes solo. This is the first track on a series to be released on Color Red in the coming months.
